Weepy and Whiney

I feel really bad when the kids are sick— disgruntled faces, moaning, the need for constant attention— but enough about me we were talking about the kids.

Yes, Ella and Jack are both STILL sick.  They really have no other symptoms than a fever.  Well, that and they’re both weepy and whiney, but that isn’t a whole lot different from a regular day.

I know the “protocol” for fevers is four days before you worry that it’s something more than just a virus.  We’re on day 3.  I pray we wake up tomorrow fever free.

During one of Ella’s “up” moments today we were able to sneak in making her Valentine’s Day mailbox.  I’ve said it before, I hate when the teachers assign homework like “decorate your turkey” or “make your own Valentine mailbox”.  I feel so much pressure to make it really fabulous.

I’ll admit, it is pretty fabulous, not because of me, but because it has Ella’s special touch on it.  Nicholas helped her spell out the words but she put on all the stickers herself.  She’s really proud of it and can’t wait to fill it up.

It wasn’t long after we made the mailbox Ella crashed again and snuggled back into bed watching a movie.  I just can’t stand when my babies are sick.  Maybe tomorrow there will be baths, combed hair, and getting out of pajamas.  Oh and maybe the kids will feel better too.  Winking smile

Awesome Valentines box! Poor Ella...when she is sick you can really see it. Jack looks like he might be milking it a bit. LOL! Get well soon babies!
