Bright Eyes and Bluebonnets

Did you know that the bluebonnet is the Texas state flower?  Well then you apparently don't live in Texas. It seems everything in Texas is not only bigger, but people take more pride in all things associated with Texas.  That includes the beautiful Texas bluebonnet.  Last year spring brought about very little rain and, although everyone talked about the bluebonnets, I never got to see them in full swing.  I still was able to snap a few pictures with Ella and Jack on a jog one day.

As you might have suspected (since I'm talking about them), the bluebonnets are in full bloom right now and more beautiful than ever.  So when I saw Bright Eyes Photography was offering "mini sessions" taken in the bluebonnets,  I jumped at the chance to have my kids' pictures taken.  The ladies behind Bright Eyes Photography, Shannon and Jennifer, are an extremely talented duo and I love their work.

I wanted my little piece of Texas to take wherever the roads may take me.  We might not live in Texas forever (then again we might) so I wanted to have a lasting memory.   I can NOT wait to see the results.  Here's a sneak peak at the ladies doing their work.

So if you live in the Austin area, feel free to give Shannon and Jennifer a call for your own little Bluebonnet session (or other portrait session).  You can check out all their work on the the Bright Eyes Website, so you don't just have to take my word for it.  While I didn't receive anything for writing this post (I'm not that cool) I can get a little discount if you tell them I sent you.  So feel free to drop my name if you give them a call.  Trust me, you won't be disappointed!
