A Day in the Life

7:15 alarm goes off and I'm actually startled awake.  That's a surprise because I'm usually awake or at least stirring when my alarm goes off.

7:15 to 7:45 run around the house like a crazy person.  This entails:  picking out clothes for Jack and gelling his hair, picking out clothes for Ella (a PROCESS), prodding Nicholas a gazillion times to get out of the shower and then gelling his hair.

7:45 to 8:20  Help make lunches and breakfast, unload dishwasher, make coffee and drink said coffee.

8:30 Get the kids on the bus

8:30 to 8:45 a VERY rare moment to myself with nowhere to go, I decide to enjoy it and sip my coffee while watching the Today show and going through emails.

8:45 to 9:30 Get in shower and get ready

9:30 to 9:50 Drive to run errands

9:50 to 10:10 Walmart

10:10 to 10:30 Marshalls

10:35 Panera to pick up lunch for Jack and his teacher for shop and eat at the book fair

10:35 to 10:50 drive to Jack's school

11:00 to 11:50 Eat lunch and then shop at the Book Fair with Jack

11:50 to 12:05 Drive to my friend Jami's house

12:05 to 1:30  Helped Jami make four HUGE pans of lasagna that will feed 100 homeless people tomorrow.

1:30 to 2:05 Drove and shopped at Aldi for a few things I needed (but forgot at Walmart)

2:05 to 2:25 Drove home

2:25 to 2:50 Took out the dog, unpacked groceries, watered the mums, put out pumpkins I bought on porch, packed Jack's hockey bag, marinated chicken.  Made and drank a protein shake.

2:50 to 3:00  Drove and picked up Jack for an early dismissal for a skating lesson (don't even ask)

3:00 to 3:25 Got Jack dressed for his lesson and waited for carpool mom to pick up Jack in the parking lot

3:25 to 3:35 Shoved marinated chicken in the oven

3:35 to 3:40 Bus stop

3:40 to 4:05 prepped and made dinner (yes we eat dinner at 4:00 some days)

4:05 to 4:20 Ate dinner while counting down the minutes until we had to leave

4:20 to 4:40 Took Ella to dance and dropped her off and drove home

4:40 to 5:00 Did the dishes

5:00 to 5:45 Sat down for the first time since this morning.  Mindlessly Facebooked and signed up for a 10k race.

5:45 to 6:10 Drove to pick up Ella and came home

6:10 to 6:30 Went through school folders, helped with homework

6:30 to 7:00 Drive to Ella's guitar lesson

7:00 to 7:30 Play Words with Friends on my phone

7:30 to 8:00 Drive home

8:00 to 8:25 Made myself a snack, did the "soaking" dishes in the sink,  cleanup up general mess around the house.

8:25 to 8:30 Read Jack a book (from the book fair) and tucked him into bed

8:30 to 9:00 Looked at cakes on Pinterest for a cake I'm going to make next week. Gave Ella a spelling "pre-test."   Griped at gently prodded  Ella to hurry her ass pretty little self up and make her lunch, get a snack and go to bed.  Tucked Ella into bed.

Goofing around rather than getting ready for bed

9:00 to 9:30 Got in my pajamas, took out my contacts and plopped on the couch.  Started this post.

9:30 Tuck Nicholas into bed

9:30 to 9:58 finished this post.

9:59 Publish

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

And you wonder why my master bath isn't clean

And precisely how did you get in an out of Walmart in 20 minutes? Witchcraft? Voodoo? Some kind of time travel device? I spend at least 30 minutes just standing in line in there.

haha it's only b/c I had been there the previous day and gotten a ton of stuff and went back to get more of said stuff. Then I forgot toilet paper and flat bread I wanted. That's what I get for trying to divert my eyes from all the things. ~momswimbikerun (aka susan)
